Fall 2021 Benefit Brunch

Our annual fall benefit event with both in-person and virtual attendance options
We hope you’ll join us on the morning of Saturday, October 2, 2021 for our annual fundraising event.
Our fall benefit event this year will be a hybrid event: an in-person brunch at the Army & Navy Country Club in Arlington, VA as well as a Zoom program so that our friends from around the country–and world–can join us!
We will have an exciting array of performers and speakers, including:
- the Ambassador of Egypt to the United States, Ambassador Zahran
- Egyptian actress and Honorary Ambassador, Amina Khalil
- Egyptian-American jazz singer Maggie Yacoub
- Oud player Mohamed Abozekry
We will also have a silent auction full of Egyptian handicrafts and more. We hope you will be able to join us either in person or virtually!

The in-person event will include the following:
11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.: silent auction and cocktails
12:00-1:00 p.m. EDT: program
1:00-2:30 pm. EDT: brunch
The price of your ticket will support HANDS’ work with vulnerable Egyptian communities, providing opportunities for children there to continue their education and work towards fulfilling careers.
A better future for these kids happens through empowering their parents: providing microloans, vocational training, and entrepreneurship mentoring. As parents are able to start a small business or find meaningful employment, their children can remain in school, not needing to find work to support their struggling family. We hope you’ll join us in providing a brighter future for the children of Egypt–and their parents.
